Welcome to the Susquehanna
Valley Chapter
of the Society for Technical Communication
(STC-SVC)!
STC's Susquehanna Valley Chapter serves
technical communicators throughout the mid-state region of Pennsylvania,
which includes the wide expanse of forests, farms, mountains, towns, and rivers found between the cities of Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. While
this region is known for its natural beauty, it is also an up-and-coming
technological hub .
A significant number of our members are
located at the chapter's center, Harrisburg. We also have members to the north in Williamsport and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre,
to the south in Lancaster and York, to the east in Reading, and
to the west in State College and Johnstown. Although we cover a huge geographic region, we are a
tight knit group willing to go to great lengths to see each other, and to learn from each other's experiences.
Founded in 2000
by a few people committed to building a local techcomm community, our chapter's mission is to serve
technical communicators by sharing information, enhancing skills,
strengthening relationships, and broadening opportunities in the field of technical communication.
Coming
soon! June 2009 Happy Hour
